Another reminder to Proud Arrogant Party MPs!

Proud Arrogant Party MP's are reminded again by their Boss of the do's and dont's. [Link]

Maybe the PM should also remind MPs that being late when invited as guest of honour in community events is disgusting!

I attended a health/fitness event at VivoCity last year. The guest of honour, a Mayor was 45 minutes late to declare the ceremony opened. When he finally arrived, a gentleman beside me said, "Bloody hell, big-shot come so late and the stupid MC still want us to stand up, clap and welcome him. Screw him lah!" I seconded his emotion because the GOH was so "atas" that he did not even offer a reason, or an excuse or an apology for being so late.

Maybe being PAP, proud arrogant people, they know no wrong! And do no wrong! They wait for no one but expect everyone to wait for them. The worst part is they don't give a damn that the scheduled programme went haywire because of their being late. And they never apologise! I love the way MCs play their part when tardy GOHs turn up for community events late, very late.

Apart from being late, it'll be nice if PAP MPs can be less plastic? If you don't have time for me, please don't pretend. Please don't force smile, shake my hand and move on before I can even say hello. If you think my status is too inferior for you to engage, please don't even bother to smile and extend your hand.

Sincerity. Sincerity to serve? The word "serve" has become meaningless in Singapore the day ministers paid themselves millions! I believe each of us has sincere qualities within us. However the application of sincerity is what matters. Ever see the change of a smiling face to one that says, "Boy, I'm glad it's over. Job done!" impatient face? You know what I mean;)

I was hopeful that the Proud Arrogant Party has learned some humility when PM announced the formation of a committee to review ministerial salary. But having thought through, the orgasm some may have over the transparency of political salary may be another sham. If there was sincerity in reducing ministers' pay, why not just bite the bullet, make the decision and just cut it! Why hide behind the skirt of Gerard Ee & Co. Why was there no Salary Review Committee when king's ransom were paid to ministers? Salary Review Committee. Why now, not then?

Happy weekend!

Mr Fish, sometimes the problem probably lies with poor co-ordination. Last minute confirmation, last minute printing of flyers and banners, going through several proxies to get timing, print before confirmation, etc. MOs are very 'busy' ppl, surrounded by very 'caring' ppl who thinks too much to arrange the time with him/her.

The part I hate most is when the MP is fashionably late and chaperoned by the grassroots, everyone is forced to stand up and clap! Even our senior citizens who waited for the MPs to arrive were told to stand up and clap. Who are these MPs? Why are we told to stand up and clap everytime they appear? We pay their allowances, surely we do not have to give them a standing ovation everytime they appear? It's ridiculous.

It is likely that going late to a function is a tactic used by organizers to ensure that there is a full house to receive and greet the MP with applause.

There is actually no need to stand and applaud. Sitting and giving a polite applause is enough.

If Singaporeans do not want to stand up upon the arrival of MP at event organized by People from the Arrogant Party, then don't participate in their programmes. That's it, finish.
I was lucky, whenever, i saw events held by grassroot organizations, i kept a distance.

However, there were occasions whereby i met some MPs(M/Female) and they smiled sweetly to me. Before the Last Election, MPs came up to my friends and me, wished us good morning Sirs while we were having our breakfasts and they were so humble!

Of course there were many occasions where i got to see MPs handing out gift packages to old folks and they were really treated liked very important people by the grassroot people. So, to me, it was grassroot people that were the eyes and ears sores.

Don't be fooled by the smiles and waves. MP and PA can make things difficult for grassroots. When you see MP handing out goodies, who organizes and sponsor such activities? Of course there are also.grassroots who go all out to please.

Arrogance feeds on attention and subservience.
If the 60% continue to think like sheep, behave like sheep, the PAP buggers will continue to assume they are god's gift to Spore and it is perfectly fine for them to be arrogant.

There are so many types of anti-dote to counter arrogance.

Don't give your vote to the PAP in 2016. Keep reminding them about it.

Don't attend PAP organised functions.

Don't become a customer of any business associated with PAP buggers.
Imagine Eagle Eye Centre losing 40% potential customers, it will trigger Ah Kiak and partners to check each other's eyeballs for ($)-($) signs. LOL

Would that one MP have his grassroots announce to the audience to remain seated when he arrives. That would start the ball rolling. Just out of curiosity, what is the practice in other countries/ cultures when the GOH arrives?

There is a better antidote for such behaviour on the part of the arrogant MPs. Stay away.

But, of course, there are those who are there to gain merit (not Mr Fish I can be sure of that) so they have to do what they are told.

It will still take a long time for our glorified servants to learn how to say sorry and apologise and admit doing wrongs.

Sometimes we attend events without knowing that there was GOH involved. My bad experience (wasting 45 minutes of precious time for a Mayor to turn up!) was one that was not organised by PAP grassroots but by a private organisation on health and wellness.

If it's organised by Proud Arrogant People, we would have known better.

I just don't understand why organisations need to invite PAP to honour their events. Instead of adding respectability, they may be hurting themselves by wasting manhours and losing credibility.

The trouble is that some private organisations seems to like to invite PAP MPs for their functions and ending up giving the much credit to the PAP. It must be that the head of such organisations are themselves PAP supporters. Still, I think it serves no purpose except, maybe, currying favours.

Now, that reminds me of a certain Chinese temple, I think it was Loyang Tua Pek Kong, having a charity function some years ago, and they were giving bags of rice to old folks. In the process they invited a PAP MP to grace the occassion and do the honours.

The old folks inevitably had the wrong impression that it was the PAP giving them the bags of rice, not the temple. So, you see, it was a dumb idea on the part of the temple administration.

Temple admin are thinking one step ahead, show off their PAP connection to those in law enforcement, imagine if you were in Germany during Hitler's reign and your business function is graced by a high ranking Nazi official.
