Short of MPs? We have enough Singaporeans!

I may be considered an old geezer who is behind time. I keep finding interesting videos and speeches that excite and make sense to me. Even they were meant for GE 2011! I find the value of the 2 videos below to be worthy of not only for Election 2011 but as lessons for Singaporeans who take life in Singapore for granted. And also for those who are still chasing the 5C's without realising that our country is going to the dogs!

PAPolitical leaders make a mockery of National Service by paying themselves millions. Hypocrisy is not being condemned because they are practiced by the politically rich and famous - If Dr Lim Hock Siew (incarcerated for 20 years for refusing to give face to a despot) [Link] was considered honourable by a minister, why has not the same minister do the decent thing of clearing Dr Lim's good name by requesting for a Commission Of Inquiry on his detention (Operation Cold Store) and that of Operation Spectrum (Marxist Conspiracy). [Link]

Fact of the matter is: Fooking talk is cheap and riding on the deaths of bravehearts to gain brownie points and political mileage is so . . . "I don't know what to say?" (courtesy of Kate Spade TPL) and "What do you think?" (courtesy of TCH)

Year 2011 is history but project 2011 has created the above awesome and brutal videos that remind us of the truths that has been suppressed by the powerful, namely: msm and political party. It is through such videos that we are reminded of the filth that is!

Many fair-minded and decent Singaporeans lament that we do not have enough opposition MPs to tackle the PAP. With the results of GE 2011 and the BE 2012 of Hougang, I'm delighted to note that at least more than 40% of us citizens are putting our money where our mouth is - showing our contempt to those who claim to help us by importing more migrants to compete for our jobs, our homes, our hospital beds, our rights to fresh air and our rights to a decent and healthy livelihood!

With the crap that's hitting the fan lately for the MIW especially for the PM [Link] and DPM [Link], all Singaporeans should take a step back and truly reflect on . . . WTF is there left for a Singaporean?

I believe that the poor, average and middle class Singaporeans who do not have the means to emigrate can connect with the disconnect that is. The cronies and elites who have benefited from their connection would consider what I write nothing more than TCSS (Talk Cock Sing Song). Through my more than 60 years of existence in Singapore, the joy that I have is to know that more and more Simgaporeans are waking up and listening to:

Do you hear the people sing
Singing the song of angry men
It is the music of a people
Who would not be slaves again
When the beating of the heart
Echoes the music of the drum
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes

Do you hear the people sing
Singing the song of angry men
It is the music of a people
Who would not be bullied again
When the beating of the heart
Echoes the music of the drum
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes

Do you hear the people sing
Singing the song of angry men
It is the music of a people
Who would not be cheated again
When the beating of the heart
Echoes the music of the drum
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes

Do you hear the people sing
Singing the song of angry men
It is the music of a people
Who would not be fooled again
When the beating of the heart
Echoes the music of the drum
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes [Link]

To the elites that have and Singaporeans who worry not of the the struggles of the less fortunate, please be a little like Dr Lim Hock Siew who not only put a despot to shame but did his part in being kind to his poor and sick patients by not charging them after the treatment he provided. Definitely not one who waits for you at the cul-de-sac with his knuckle dusters when you owe him some!

For the sake of my children and grandchildren, I want to believe that Singaporeans are not 'daft'. They do not need 'spurs' to drive them to be decent, hardworking and loyal with a righteous spirit to do right for themselves, their country and their children and their grandchildren. They would recite the National Pledge as a Pledge and not as fookin' aspiration because of the personal racial or whatever bias of one!

The alternative parties also need to be responsible for their actions. For instance, why did WP vote to approve the budget that was presented in Parliament by the ruling party?? Their speeches were critical of govt policy but they voted for the budget. Whats going on?

At June 13, 2012 at 10:08 AM , Anonymous Anonymous said...

The hard truth about why new HDB are prices so much more expensive because some fucking smartarse Minister decided they want a cut of the potential future profits that a HDB flat can fetch in the open market after the holding period so this markup is already built-in the selling price.

Like what one particular ex-Minister has told us, if they don't factored in that profit markup, it will considered be a raid on our reserves.

But he conveniently forgot the fact that when our Ministers removed the estate duties payable upon death, is that not a raid on our reserves as well ?

If want to lie to us, also must know how to lie mah ? Are we really that stupid to con, PAP Ministers ?

Well said. Unfortunately the 60% don't even realised all this. Like robots, continue to vote for the CONpany in white.

Why Election boundaries shift?
becos it is not illegal.. WP can do the same too once they become majority.

Why HDB so expensive yet small?

Fish, it's fruitless to appeal to their sense of decency and conscience to make political, economic and social reforms. They run this country like their own private fief, where they and their lackeys cream off the spoils, and reward their ex-party stalwarts and ka kias with lucrative positions in the GLCs.

Singapore had never been short of credible alternative party candidates - we had enough honourable Singaporeans. Only thing is they were ISAed, bankrupted, banished, bullied, threatened, hounded into extinction, with the not inconsiderable assistance of the mainstream media. A dying breed - and father time has also taken it's toll. And the hypocrites decry - how come no capable opposition?

When elections are around the corner, they will cry their buckets of tears, promising a new normal, and after it's over, go back to the old. It's like a never ending re-run of a soap opera, with no happy ending.

They need spurs stuck into their hides - like a resounding loss of more GRCs or their two-thirds majority. Only then will we see real change, and a re-affirmation of their social contract. So 60% - what do you think? What do you think you should do?

"...Their speeches were critical of govt policy but they voted for the budget. Whats going on?...."

hello hwa lien,
please go and read one of Chen Show Mao's Hougang rally speeches. He had answered that question in one of his speeches.

The msm didn't print Mr Chen's speech in their newspaper. Not surprising. However, it doesn't hurt to read from the Internet and find out the reason why WP voted for this year's budget despite criticising the pap for not doing more.

Read other sources of information other than from the msm and find out the true! What do you think?!

the WP is too anxious not to "oppose" the PAP, but to work with it. it's forgotten what it's there for - to help make this a better country, to help us have better policies, to speak up for its voters. this will involve opposing some things.

WP's stand is also rather pointless, as the PAP has shown thru its absurd attacks on the WP that it has no desire to work with any non-PAP parliamentarians. that it will not listen to any view which is not the same as the one it holds. that it will bristle and stoutly defend even the smallest variation.

sadly, the WP doesn't really argue back when attacked. it needs to realise there's a great deal of difference betw standing up for one's self and one's views, and "opposing". simply asking clever questions is not enough.

all this shows why we should be voting in many more opposition members. so they learn what's required of them and how to operate. it is only when these newbies have done their pupillage can they be effective. the longer we delay this, the more we put off having the country we want n need.

as for readers refering readers - vaguely - to past speeches, doesn't it make more sense to either provide a link or cite the argument one wishes to use? why waste time with vague references and advice to go look things up one's self, instead of getting to the point or offering knowledge? we are not in school, where the teacher tells a student, You dunno? go look it up, kid! isn't it better to show solidarity?

It is better to search for the information oneself then to be spoon fed. When someone has shown you the path, it is for you to decide if you want go there. What do you think?

Is that a coincidence that the estate duty get abolished with the death of LKY's wife ?

No need to debate in parliament , just suga suga pass it.

Must be coincidence then just like PAP's goodies during election ... What do you think ?

Well, since the MSM has established such a heavy hold on the people, and despite the availability of the internet, people need to be fed right up their doorstep..

They are indeed the daft people.

So.. dear daft people please visit this:

LKY can even offer you access to all the information you need but if you

don't know where,
don't know how
don't know what

and yet cannot understand why

then the MSM has hypnotised you and your soul belongs to them.

No religion can protect you
No talisman too.

You are confirmed 60% PAP voter.

It is critically important that the estate left behind by Kwa Geok Choo not get on public record or those critical of our gini coef. may use that to rally an "Occupy Oxley". The complicit PAP MPs know that should that happen, their grip on power will be compromised.
Raid on the reserves? They own this place after eliminating their political opponents! This is the Republic of Singapore in name only. It is the de facto Kingdom of Lanfang. The duty on others' estates is a small price and will be reinstated after LKY is gone. They will still want the estate duty to fatten the coffers. They are not daft nor are they trying to con anyone.

Ya, does seems like a 60.

I think alot about my young kids now a days. When they grow up, what kind of Singapore will they be living in. Education, jobs, health care, housing, all these are screwed up by the 60's beloved papee. Perhaps the 60 don't worry for their children that's why they continue to support papee.

I will ask my children to study hard so that they can leave SINgapore. Don't want them to be slaves to debts all their lives for our ridiculous affordable public pigeon hole flat!

Datuk Fish,
It shld be "carry a bag with a hatchet!" at the cul-de-sac lah. Knuckle dusters on other occasions not at the cul-de-sac lah. Don't get confused. There is a big difference between the two scenarios. Langgar!

S'porean DNA to be replaced by imported DNA. Nothing other than this message the ruling party is trying to send to all S'poreans.

Singaporeans will have to make their own choice - to stay or to leave...

Whatever one carries into the cul-de-sac, be it a hatchet or knuckle-duster, it is a blunt and colourful way of telling you not to fuck around with anyone, especially if you are a dud. Just a figure of speech.

Aren't these the tools of trade of gangsters, by the way?

Just to add on. These are brave words. In certain context, they can be construed as inciting violence.

Didn't the Malay chap get booked for using the word "flame" during the 50 year great deluge - but he protested that it was just a figure of speech.

Brave Reuben used the word "roast" aside from "fuck", see where it got him. Avoid using words associated with the culinary art, except in its literal sense.

Fish,

I love the above two videos and I can never get tired watching them. I hope to see them again come 2015 election. If possible, can someone used the music from "Harry Porter and the deadly hallow"? I like that music and dark lord voldemort slogan: THE BOY WHO LIVES COME TO DIE". That is how I thought of PAP doing that to the people.

We already saw more screwed up over the year after the watershed election. This coming election is going to be decisive for change of govt, I expect no less from 2011 election. Let Singaporeans unite and work togerther for the betterment of Singaporeans at large.

WKS who screwed up and did not resign because he is responsible? So those senior ranking scholars who sleep with their vendors are just being responsible too by awarding contracts to the vendors based on your logic. Why arrest them since they are only being responsible?
