Life is short.
Having survived till now, I am grateful.
Born and bred in Singapore, I have witnessed much bully and callousness of the filthy rich and powerful. They have denigrated their opponents with much contempt and venom. Since "what comes around goes around", it is good to note that they are hopelessly finding a way to come clean after having shitted all over.
They thought they got themselves covered in PalmerGate (which is not by most Singaporeans' standard in a million miles) But man, AIMgate is not going the way of "mother of all cover-ups".
When every mother's child in PAP and their cronies' family member is asking everyone else to 'come clean', it's a fookin' shame that they are walking around with stinkin' shit all over them with AIMGATE and all!
Thanks to Satchmo (Louis Armstrong) who inspires this bloke, man, it's worth your while to give it a listen. The voice is nothing to sing about but the lyrics may lighten up some.
Man, if the National Conversation is not about PAP Town Councils (14 of them then) selling out to AIM (Action Information Management owned by ex-PAP MPs) and "How Not To Throw Stones When You Live In A Glass House?" then what the fook are we talking about? The weather?

When photos of PA senior staff director level, wearing PAP uniforms and campaigning for PAP start to appear in the internet, it just confirmed what many already know, that PA helmed by cec member of the ruling party, IS NOT PARTISAN AS CLAIMED BY THEM.
This is so wrong of them.

The government should never allow funds from the treasury to be used to pay the staff in the People Association which is headed by government officials , to promote the political interests of the ruling party.

On AIMgate. This whole exercise was designed to screw up any opposition party that won in GE2011 - and it happened in Aljunied GRC. The $140K cost was paid back from the one year lease-back rental in 2011, so no payments were actually transacted either way (see Alex Au's blogs). After this one year, I think the rights to the software would have reverted back to the TCs - so there is no monetary gain for AIM, no corruption or fraud, per se. Unless AIM continued to charge the rental after this one year.
Why would AIM want this software when it is tailored only for TC use? AIM is only a vehicle used to carry out this scheme. The question to ask is: Is it morally right or ethical for a political party to do this? This same question crops up here:
(1) No upgrading for Opposition wards
(2) Million dollar Ministerial pay
(3) GRCs and gerrymandeering
(4) Defamation suits and bankruptcies
(5) Inside polling station in Sengkang is not 200m ruling
etc...
What happened is morally reprehensible. For any political party to employ such tactics to undermine the opposition's ability to manage a town council is dishonest and contrary to the spirit of democracy. Not helping the opposition is one thing, but to deliberately sabotage them is another. We need an Ethics committee. To terminate the service to Aljunied (the purpose), or any TC, is legally wrong because they paid for the development of the software. I think WP can contest this.
