2 Days to "Say No To 6.9M" - Singaporeans Are Not Fair-Weather Wimps!
If Valentine's Day is named as a day to celebrate love of the romantic kind on 14 February all over the world, how should we name 16 February in Singapore this year onward? "Love Singapore Day", "Save Singapore Day, "Stand Up For Singapore Day" or simply "Singapore Day".
With the time spent updating daily the blog and the running around taking monstrous pics at street corners to create vids [Link] my wife wonders on this Valentine's Day if I'm tempting another heart attack? Fortunately, like me, she is grateful for the bonus time I have since my last heart trauma. We both know well that if it is time to be fedtothefish then it is time to go in peace.
Despite 17 hours of rain, when the first election rally of WP was held at Punggol East [Link], thousands with feet in the mud [Link] turned up to support another alternative voice in parliament. As it's been raining dogs an cats these few days, I hope the weather will be kind this Saturday when we gather at Hong Lim Park at 4pm.
Whatever the weather, I'm confident that Singaporeans who care enough are not fair-weather wimps who are afraid to get wet or get their feet dirtied. I hope to be In The Moment again in Hong Lim Park with a much bigger crowd.
To be part of a gathering to show the world that we are not so 'daft' as to allow a government to let foreigners invade us is to fulfill an important item in my bucket list. Without the need of "spurs in our hides" we will dress up and show up this Saturday.
As I so often mention, bitching, talking, blogging and forwarding emails and is not enough.
Come rain, shine, thunder or lightning, we must all stand up for Singapore, for our children and their children. Get your umbrellas, your ponchos ready!
Singaporeans aren't Quitters!
Singaporeans aren't Fair Weather Wimps!
Singaporeans aren't Pushovers!
Singaporeans aren't Retards!
The Singapore Pledge is not an Aspiration!
The Singapore Pledge is now a Call To Action!
On 16 February 2013, Singaporeans will gather at Hong Lim Park at 4pm to BE, not pledge, not aspire, but
TO BE ONE UNITED PEOPLE,
REGARDLESS OF RACE, LANGUAGE OR RELIGION
TO BUILD A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY
BASED ON JUSTICE AND EQUALITY
SO AS TO ACHIEVE HAPPINESS, PROSPERITY AND
PROGRESS FOR OUR NATION
TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AND OUR GRANDCHILDREN
FROM BEING INVADED BY UNCOUTH FOREIGNERS
WHO SO ARROGANTLY TAKE AWAY
OUR JOBS,
OUR HOUSES,
OUR LANGUAGES,
OUR LIVING SPACES AND
OUR RIGHTS TO PRESERVE OUR WAY OF LIFE.

KEEP SINGAPORE CLEAN (BERSEH)!

My extended family and I will be there.

Please forward this plea to all your friends and relatives so that with peace and humility we can show the arrogant PAP government that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Right, two more days to the Rally.
Am looking forward to it.
Hope that all fellow Singaporeans will be there to register our protest and unhappiness on the White Paper saying NO to 6.9 M
I think it is wonderful that you are speaking up to secure a better future for your children and grandchildren. Our leaders sold us out, somehow they lost their way big time the past 10 years. Keep up the good work Sir. Your courage will inspire many others to follow. Men follow courage, not titles or money.
More Singapore Fairy Tales?
-------------------------
1. "PAP is on the side of Singaporeans."
Right ... you in your multi-million dollar bungalow and us in our HDB flats
2. "We are all in this together."
Right ... you fly first class and we fly economy class.
3. "You are at the heart of all our policies..The reason why my team and I joined politics and work for a better Singapore."
Which Singapore you talking about?
The Singapore that retires with a pension or the Singapore that retires into a toilet cleaner job.
4. "We want Singapore to do well, so that Singaporeans can do well."
Why not "we want Singaporeans to do well, so that Singapore can do well."?
5. "It is at the heart of all we do. It is why my colleagues & I decided to serve."
Oh I see. And the million dollar salaries got nothing to do with it huh?
How about V-Day?
V for Vendetta.
Shine, rain, thunder and lightning, will be glad to join the gathering.
